WNAC Week 2 — Christmas Sweater

Sweater Nail ArtHappy Friday! There’s two weeks until Christmas. Can you believe that? I’ve almost got all of my shopping done. (Amazon has been my best friend, I swear.) This week’s theme for the Weekly Nail Art Challenge is Christmas Sweaters. I was looking over the normal nail art designs for sweaters and didn’t really find anything I was a fan of. So, after a bit of Google’ing, I found this sweater:

SweaterI fell in love with the look and thought it would translate very well to nails. It was listed with a bunch of other chic men’s sweaters (the majority shown on very pretty male models), but that website has up and disappeared in the time I found it and now. Quite frustrating.

Anywho.

I used all OPI colors for this. I started with a base of Embrace the Gray, then freehanded the black and white diamonds with Black Onyx and Alpine Snow. The Argyle print was finished with thin lines of Love.Angel.Music.Baby, then I topped everything off with two horizontal stripes of The Thrill of Brazil. I wanted a completely different color on my accent nails to offset the whole lot of everything going on. This lovely blue Liquid Sand is Kiss Me at Midnight. I almost think a forest green would have complimented the design better, but I really didn’t want red and green again.
